Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking an NCCER-Certified Electrical Instructor to teach one to two introductory modules from NCCER Electrical Level 1 to students who have recently completed the NCCER Core curriculum. This is a paid opportunity to provide students with an introduction to electrical careers and foundational technical skills as they continue their pathway into skilled trades training. The instructor will deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction that connects students' Core knowledge to the fundamental concepts and skills covered in Electrical Level 1. The ideal candidate will have current NCCER Electrical certification, industry experience, and a passion for helping adult learners prepare for careers in the skilled trades. Instruction may include classroom and/or online delivery, depending on program needs. If you are an NCCER-Certified Electrical Instructor and are available to teach one or two introductory Electrical Level 1 modules, we would love to hear from you. Responsibilities Teach one to two introductory modules from the NCCER Electrical Level 1 curriculum to students who have completed NCCER Core. Provide engaging instruction in basic electrical theory, wiring, circuitry, code awareness, and safety practices. Deliver classroom, hands-on, and/or online instruction using NCCER-aligned curriculum and industry best practices. Assess student understanding through practical activities and other appropriate assessments while providing constructive feedback. Maintain a safe, inclusive learning environment and emphasize OSHA standards, electrical safety, and proper tool use. Support students in understanding pathways to continued electrical training, industry credentials, apprenticeships, and employment. Experience Current NCCER Electrical certification. Three to four years of journeyman-level electrical experience with strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, circuitry, electrical theory, and safety practices. Experience teaching or training adult learners from diverse backgrounds and varying levels of experience. Ability to deliver engaging classroom, hands-on, online, or hybrid instruction. Familiarity with NCCER curriculum, industry standards, and applicable OSHA safety practices. Strong communication skills and the ability to support students as they prepare for continued electrical training, industry credentials, apprenticeships, and employment.
Pay:
$25.00 - $30.00 per hour
