Job Description

Senior AutoCAD Designer As a Design Engineer in our consulting business, you will join a team working on high exposure, automation-based projects with senior level executives. You will learn every day through participating in client-based projects utilizing your CAD design skills on projects that include developing plant / distribution center layouts, warehouse designs and automation equipment. You will be responsible for creating detailed drawings of material handling equipment, work areas, and plant layouts using current examples and guidance from our team. Drawings will require a high level of detail in both plan views as well as corresponding elevation views in certain cases. A successful candidate will be self starter and will be able to work with very little direction and create drawing sets that will satisfy the need to standardize work spaces and designs across a large network of fulfillment operations.
Basic Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years operating experience in CAD with ability to work and manage layers Minimum of an Associate's Degree in Drafting and Design Minimum of 1 year experience drawing in a warehouse or fulfillment center environment Basic knowledge of material handling and storage systems
Compensation:
Substantial Base Salary; above industry standard. Yearly increases based upon individual contribution, growth, project performance. Yearly bonus commensurate on individual and company performance Eligibility for Boston Industrial 401k plan after 1,000 hours of service. Eligibility for company Profit Sharing plan after 1,000 hours of service; a guarantee of 3% of base salary once eligibility has been established. Compensation for over 75% of health insurance for a single employee, or applied to a family contribution. Paid holidays and vacation Paid sick and personal days Continuing industry education in the form of seminars, trade shows and other forms of continuing education.
