As a PCB Draft Engineer, you will create complicated detail and assembly drawings of printed circuits and electro-mechanical equipment working from layouts and/or specific instructions. Project Details /
Mission Supported:
  • Prepare schematic, logic, wiring, and electrical diagrams from layouts and engineering instructions.
  • Develop detail drawings and assembly documentation from layouts, sketches, and general engineering guidance.
  • Determine required drawing documentation and identify additional information needed to complete assignments.
  • Create layouts for assemblies including: ◦ Printed Circuit Assemblies (PCAs) ◦ Chassis and Panels ◦ Substrates ◦ Multichip Hybrid Packages (MHPs) ◦ Power Hybrid Packages (PHPs) ◦ Striplines and related hardware
  • Apply design and engineering principles to develop manufacturable component and assembly drawings.
  • Support creation of fabrication and manufacturing aids as required.
  • Produce electrical diagrams for both simple and complex electrical systems.
  • Incorporate engineering changes and revision notices into mechanical and electrical drawings.
  • Coordinate drawing updates with engineering teams and fellow drafters.
  • Interpret customer, vendor, and internal engineering drawings to support design activities.
  • Obtain technical information from standards, specifications, engineering handbooks, supplier documentation, and company procedures.
  • Recommend materials, manufacturing processes, and design approaches.
  • Ensure technical accuracy, completeness, and compliance of all assigned drawings and documentation.
  • Support design reviews and engineering documentation activities as needed. Qualified candidates will have the following experience and skills:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Associate Degree in Design Drafting, Engineering Technology, or a related technical field OR equivalent professional drafting experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of drafting experience as a Detail Drafter or equivalent technical drafting role.
  • Coursework in at least two of the following areas: ◦ Algebra ◦ Geometry (Plane and Solid) ◦ Trigonometry ◦ Physics
  • Experience creating detailed mechanical and/or electrical drawings.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Knowledge of drafting principles, standards, and design practices.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing, fabrication, inspection, and assembly processes
Location:
Linthicum, MD Onsite expectation: 5 days a week in
Linthicum, MD Clearance Level:
Active DoD Secret Clearance Required Salary/Pay range: $40-$68/hr
