Electrical Designer

Job Title:

Electrical DesignerJob Description The Electrical Designer is responsible for revising released cab and chassis wire harness designs to meet customer specifications and change requests. This role involves converting existing 3D designs into accurate 2D prints using AutoCAD. The position is primarily desk-based, but requires collaboration with the shop floor to verify fit and function. Precision and punctuality are essential for meeting project deadlines.

Hours:

4 day work week Monday

• Thursday 7 or 6am
• 4pm Responsibilities Revise released wire harness designs to align with customer specifications and requests.

Convert 3D wire harness designs into 2D AutoCAD drawings. Ensure design accuracy and adherence to project timelines. Collaborate with the shop floor to validate fit and function. Essential Skills Proficiency in electrical design and AutoCAD. Experience in schematic and wire harness design. Ability to create wiring diagrams and perform electrical drafting. Familiarity with engineering change orders. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience designing electrical components in SolidWorks is a plus. Background in wire harness design using any 2D design software or electrical design experience using AutoCAD for products. Work Environment This role is based in the engineering building alongside other engineers, working primarily at a cubicle with some interaction with the shop floor. The team consists of 10 engineers, including 8 Design Engineers and 2 Electrical Engineers. The work environment is collaborative, with functional leads and mentors available for training. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Charlotte, MI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $35.00
