Controls Engineer - Allen-Bradley SMT Automation LLC Rochester, MI Job Details Temporary | Contract $35 - $45 an hour 6 hours ago Qualifications Electrical automation system implementation Engineering equipment malfunctions diagnostics Process optimization Electrical schematic reading and interpretation Industrial equipment installation Industrial equipment troubleshooting PLC programming Electrical control system maintenance Full Job Description SMT Automation is looking for an experienced Controls Engineer with strong Allen-Bradley PLC programming experience for an upcoming short-term automation project. Responsibilities PLC programming and troubleshooting using Allen-Bradley / Rockwell Automation Diagnose and resolve controls and automation issues Perform modifications and adjustments to existing PLC programs Support equipment startup and troubleshooting on-site Work independently in a fast-paced project environment Requirements Strong hands-on experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs Experience with Studio 5000 / RSLogix 5000 Industrial automation and troubleshooting experience Ability to read and understand electrical schematics Previous experience supporting equipment installation, commissioning, or production environments Ability to start Monday, September 28 Availability for the full 1-2 week project Preferred Automotive or manufacturing automation experience Experience with HMI troubleshooting/programming Experience with industrial networks and I/O troubleshooting
