Job Description:
Our client builds packaged process skid systems for clients in the natural gas distribution sector and the clean energy space, including propane standby systems and hydrogen production systems powered by water electrolysis. They are seeking an Electrical Drafter and Designer to handle wiring layouts, control panel configurations, and I/O routing across active projects. The team values real-world capability over credentials. The right person gets up to speed fast and contributes from day one. Required Skills & Experience Proven electrical drafting and design experience in an industrial or process environment Ability to develop wiring layouts, panel configurations, and electrical component arrangements for skids Solid understanding of electrical circuits: voltage, current, resistance Proficiency with AutoCAD or comparable electrical drafting software Ability to produce and read complete electrical drawing packages and wiring diagrams Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously Preferred / Desired Experience Familiarity with Allen Bradley or Siemens PLCs, analog and digital I/O, and ladder logic Background supporting electrical scope on skid-based or packaged process equipment Knowledge of NFPA 70 and NFPA 72 or related electrical codes and standards Exposure to propane distribution systems, natural gas utility infrastructure, or hydrogen generation equipment Interest in decarbonization technologies, renewable energy, or emerging clean fuel applications Exposure to commissioning, startup, or field construction environments Experience working alongside mechanical engineers and piping designers Background in hydrogen systems, propane handling, industrial refrigeration, or high-purity water applications
