Job Description
Eaton's Electrical Sector - ARS PDCA division is currently seeking a Lead Custom Order Designer based onsite at our Eaton Fayetteville facility. Relocation assistance is available to candidates currently residing in the US. The primary function of the Lead Custom Order Designer is to provide mechanical design and documentation support for the Low Voltage Motor Control Center product line. This includes, but is not limited to: engineering designs, collaborating with application engineers and manufacturing associates, utilization of design automation software, and producing/maintaining manufacturing documentation. This position will focus on all aspects of MCC order design requirements, including limited application engineering requirements, with some possibility to interface directly with Eaton sales force and customers. The expected annual salary range for this role is $56,000 - $83,000 a year. Please note the salary information shown is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. ## What you'll do:
- Analyze schematic diagrams to determine mechanical design requirements and associated layouts.
- Manage Manufacturing and Engineering Change Notices.
- Demonstrate advanced computer skills with ability to learn required software (Bid Manager, AutoCAD, Design Automation, MAPICS).
- Interpret engineering work packages to develop mechanical design and manufacturing information packages.
- Coordinate with different levels of the organization to ensure schedules are met.
- Conduct detailed Bill of Material reviews for editing and accuracy.
- Handle multiple projects/assignments/duties simultaneously.

Ensure compliance where applicable with systems and programs such as:ISO 9000-2000, ISO
14001, Underwriters Laboratory, NEMA, etc.- Participate in and demonstrate understanding of other programs, such as: Eaton Business System (EBS), Management of Environmental Safety and Health (MESH), etc.

Qualifications:
Basic (required)Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED with 3 years of relevant experience OR a relevant technical associates degree or higher. (Relevant experience is defined as the use of computer-aided design software to create engineered drawings)

- Understanding and application of drafting standards and techniques (using computer-aided engineering software).
- Capability to visualize components, features and assemblies in three-dimensional space.
