BFPE.com Job Posting 24-005 Entry-Level Fire Alarm Designer BFPE International is seeking a full time entry-level Fire Alarm Designer to join our BFPE Family. This is an entry-level position with training provided by our licensed fire protection engineer. Excellent growth potential exists, including code driven design build projects and expansion into suppression system design.
Basic Job Responsibilities:
Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and codes under the direction of the design manager. Prepare shop drawings/plans using AutoCAD, and that meet applicable codes and manufacturer requirements. Prepare submittals using Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat. Communicate with local officials, engineers, architects, and customers.
Ideal Candidate Qualifications:
AutoCAD experience preferred. Other drafting programs may be considered. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, submittals, specifications, manufacturers manuals, and codes to produce designs and submittals to be reviewed by local officials is preferred. Willingness and ability to obtain NICET Certification in Fire Alarm Systems (at least Level II). Possess professional business communications skills, both written and oral. Self-learner, self-motivated, dedicated, organized, and a team player. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat. Must have good communication and organization skills, be able to develop and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction, and accomplish tasks in a timely and safe manner.
