Medical, dental, vision, 401k, PTO The Controls Engineer will design, maintain, and improve industrial automation systems supporting manufacturing operations. This role requires strong PLC programming, troubleshooting, and system-level problem-solving skills. Key Responsibilities Design, program, and maintain PLC-based control systems and HMI applications. Troubleshoot electrical, controls, and automation issues in a production environment. Support equipment commissioning, startups, upgrades, and continuous improvement projects. Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, control drawings, and P&IDs. Partner with Engineering, Maintenance, and Production to resolve equipment and process issues. Document PLC logic, I/O changes, software revisions, and system modifications. Ensure controls systems comply with applicable safety standards and engineering practices. Evaluate emerging technologies, including robotics, motion control, and vision systems. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline preferred. Industrial automation and controls experience within a manufacturing environment. Proficiency in PLC programming, troubleshooting, and HMI development. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and control drawings. Experience with multiple PLC platforms, robotics, motion control, or vision systems is a plus. Strong analytical, communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills. Detail-oriented, adaptable, and comfortable supporting high-uptime production operations.
