Manager of Engineering Job Summary:

The position provides electrical solutions developed to solve our customers' problems. This individual must be an analytical thinker and disciplined in applying robust design methodologies and engineering principles to develop and realize solutions. The Electrical Designer will also be responsible for Electrical Design.

Duties and Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for preparing engineering to include: concept, design, detail, bill of materials, as-built drawings, and manuals for Autotec machines and systems. In addition, the Design Engineer is responsible for system electrical functionality and suitability of design. Will be responsible for participating in problem-solving activities. Interacts with other departments, suppliers, and customers to obtain pertinent information. Work closely with setup technicians to ensure that the machine functionality is complete and approved at Autotec before shipping. Coordinates, documents, and files electrical history associated with a specific job. Coordinates with management to determine project details and milestones. Creates costing estimate spreadsheets when required. Reviews engineering to make certain Autotec and customer machine expectations are met. Assists with service when required. Maintain and enforce engineering standards and procedures. Overseeing workstation, software, and server maintenance.

Qualifications:

2-year electrical degree. Minimum five years of applicable experience Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Can organize and facilitate team meetings Working understanding of Excel, Word, Solid-Works and AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical. Understanding of Electrical parts, disconnects, VFDs, PLCs, and Microsoft Office. Strong computer skills Self-motivated and able to work independently and must be able to interface directly with Autotec team and customers when required, decisive. Willing and able to travel to customer locations inside and outside the United States. Willing and able to drive a car or fly in an airplane. Continue to enhance project management and leadership skills through additional training and education. NFPA79 training, 508

Are the designs functional, correctly applied to the application, and esthetically pleasing? Are customer requirements and scope objectives being met? Were the time and materials budgets met? Ability to effectively work as part of a team? Are Project files appropriately maintained? $60,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
