Duties Develop and refine electrical system designs using advanced CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, and Creo, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project specifications. Create detailed schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout plans aligned with electrical building codes like NEC and NFPA 70 standards. Utilize BIM tools such as NavisWorks and Revit for 3D modeling of electrical systems within building models to facilitate coordination across disciplines. Prepare CAD documentation including drawings, schematics, and system layouts for construction and manufacturing purposes. Collaborate effectively with engineering teams, project managers, and contractors to ensure electrical designs meet project goals, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. Conduct electrical drafting tasks that support construction activities, system integration, and maintenance planning. Experience Proven experience in electrical system design within construction or manufacturing environments. Proficiency in CAD software including AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, NavisWorks, Creo or equivalent 3D modeling software. Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles, building codes (NEC), NFPA 70 compliance, and electrical wiring standards. Experience with electrical drafting, schematic creation, layout design, and CAD documentation processes. Familiarity with BIM tools for building information modeling (BIM) applications related to electrical systems. Ability to collaborate seamlessly with multidisciplinary teams including engineers, architects, contractors, and clients. Construction experience is highly desirable to understand on-site implementation requirements.
