Design Technician - RedBuilt . Hillsboro, OR - Commercial EWP/ Mass Timber designer Build What s Next with RedBuilt Ready to turn designs into reality? If you love design, problem-solving, and seeing your work come to life in real buildings, this is the opportunity for you. What You ll Do (Core Duties + Responsibilities) You ll play a key role in delivering accurate, buildable solutions that keep projects moving smoothly: Create accurate material lists so every project has exactly what it needs Build detailed Revit models and shop drawings (walls, beams, slopes, layouts, etc.) Develop structural calculations for joists and trusses Ensure designs are clear, complete, and construction-ready Collaborate with architects, engineers, customers & internal teams Problem-solve and continuously improve designs for efficiency and accuracy Your Growth Journey Early days: Learn the ropes with hands-on projects & mentorship
Mid-level:
Take ownership, solve challenges, manage your own projects Pro level: Lead complex builds, make key design decisions, review others work, and help raise the bar What You Bring (Minimum Requirements) 2-year degree or certificate in Engineering, Architectural Design, or related field Experienced in drafting and modelling with Revit and comfort reading construction drawings Basic trigonometry skills and strong attention to detail Microsoft Office proficiency Creative problem-solving and strong communication Team-first mindset Bonus points for: Framing or construction experience Dynamo scripting experience Arkance Be.
