Job Description
Job Title BIM Designer Location Portland, Oregon, on-site Work may also take place at a project office in Hillsboro, Oregon, depending on project needs. Pay Range $35.00 to $50.00 per hour Job Summary The BIM Designer supports commercial construction projects by developing and coordinating BIM models and construction documents for electrical systems. This role works closely with design, field, and prefabrication teams to keep deliverables aligned with project schedule, budget, and scope. The position includes work on large, complex projects in advanced facilities and semiconductor environments. Responsibilities Develop and coordinate BIM models and related construction documents for electrical projects. Create and update 3D models and 2D drawings to support project deliverables. Produce shop drawings from 3D models using Revit. Perform QA/QC on models and drawing packages to maintain accuracy and quality. Review project schedules, budgets, deliverable requirements, and field requests to plan modeling work. Coordinate with prefabrication teams to support construction and installation needs. Communicate clearly with superintendents, foremen, project managers, and other stakeholders. Download and manage drawings and project information from SharePoint, online platforms, and project websites. Prepare and assemble document sets for transmittal to project partners and other parties. Follow project standards for model development, drawing production, and documentation. Turn verbal and written direction into accurate, constructible design documents. Help support model coordination across teams involved in the construction process. Qualifications Required Experience with Revit, including creating shop drawings from 3D models. Experience with Navisworks for model coordination and review. Hands-on BIM experience in a construction environment. Experience with AutoCAD. Electrical drafting and electrical modeling experience. Ability to interpret construction drawings, construction documents, and project specifications. Strong communication skills and the ability to work with field personnel, project managers, and design teams. Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned deliverables. Preferred Experience with BIM 360 or similar construction collaboration platforms. Familiarity with Revit MEP. Experience on commercial, industrial, advanced facility, or semiconductor projects. Experience working with prefabrication teams and field installation teams. Familiarity with SharePoint and project-specific websites for managing drawings and information. Work Environment or Schedule On-site role. Office-based environment with regular collaboration with design teams, virtual construction staff, prefabrication teams, and onsite electricians. Strong mentorship environment. Morning or mid-afternoon interview availability may be preferred.

Contract to hire.Contract length:
12 months. Benefits during the 12-month consultancy period include 7 paid holidays, 40 hours of PTO, and sick time. BG check required. Drug test required. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Portland, OR. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $50.00/hr.
