Electrical Designer Coraopolis, PA 3 DAYS AGO 22702385 Summary Coraopolis, PA In-Person $65000.00 - $85000.00 per Year 3 Years Experience Vocational/Technical Certificate No Commission 40.00 hours per week / Day Shift / Full-Time Description Electrical Designer/Drafter Direct Hire - On Site $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 BOE Benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k, Paid Holidays, PTO, etc… Position Summary The Electrical Designer/Drafter is responsible for preparing detailed electrical drawings, layouts, schematics, and design documentation for industrial projects. This role supports engineers and project teams by developing accurate CAD drawings, performing basic design calculations, and ensuring compliance with applicable electrical codes, standards, and project requirements. Desired Qualifications Associate degree, technical diploma, or certification in Electrical Drafting, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related field preferred. 3-5 years of electrical design and drafting experience in an industrial environment. Proficiency with CAD software, including AutoCAD. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a project team environment. Responsibilities Create and revise detailed electrical drawings, schematics, one-line diagrams, three-line diagrams, panel schedules, wiring diagrams, and installation details. Develop electrical layouts for power distribution, lighting, grounding, control systems, and low-voltage systems. Coordinate with electrical engineers, project managers, mechanical designers, panel shop personnel, and field installation teams. Assist with electrical equipment selection and overall system layouts. Interpret engineering sketches, specifications, and markups to produce complete construction-ready drawings. Perform basic electrical calculations, including load calculations, voltage drop analysis, conduit fill calculations, and panel sizing. Ensure designs comply with applicable codes and standards, including the National Electrical Code (NEC), National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) requirements, local regulations, and company standards. Review drawings for accuracy, completeness, and constructability. Maintain document control and revision tracking throughout the project lifecycle. Support field installation and commissioning activities by responding to RFIs and updating as-built documentation. Coordinate closely with the in-house panel shop to support fabrication and assembly activities. Additional Details
