Electrical Designer - 100% Remote 100% REMOTE | Midstream Natural Gas | EPCM Projects We're hiring an Electrical Designer with 5+ years of experience to support midstream natural gas facilities (compressor stations, metering stations, piping systems). This is a true design role (not drafting only) with full project ownership from layout through final deliverables—all while working 100% remotely. What You'll Do Design electrical layouts for grounding, duct banks, conduit, cable tray, and lighting Develop full drawing packages: One-lines, power plans, grounding plans Cable tray & duct bank layouts Lighting plans, details, sections, and elevations Perform basic electrical calculations to support designs Apply design codes, standards, and client specs Coordinate with engineers, PMs, clients, and vendors Maintain clean, well-organized drawing revisions Support projects through all EPCM phases (design → construction support) What You Need 5+ years of electrical design experience (designer-level, not just drafting) Strong AutoCAD Electrical (2D) experience Experience with natural gas, utility, or industrial power projects (or clearly transferable experience) Ability to independently produce complete electrical drawing packages Working knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and layouts Comfortable working in a fast-paced EPCM environment Nice to Have Medium or high-voltage experience Oil & gas, pipeline, or compressor station project background Power distribution, panels, or "inside the fence" facility experience Why This Role 100% remote Long-term, stable project pipeline Exposure to full EPCM project lifecycle Work on complex, real-world energy infrastructure Flexible, supportive engineering culture Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Chicago, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $60.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
