Job Description

Lead Electrical Designer - Advanced Power Generation (APG) This opportunity supports a large, well-established EPC firm within the Power Providers Market Sector, focused on Advanced Power Generation (APG) projects that deliver critical energy infrastructure. Role Overview Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams supporting APG facilities Contribute to power systems design, including electrical infrastructure supporting generation assets Play a key role in developing high-quality 2D and 3D engineering deliverables Technical Focus Electrical design scope includes: Duct bank design Cable tray design Grounding systems Lighting and other supporting electrical systems Create and modify design drawings using Bentley MicroStation and other Bentley tools AGI32 experience preferred for lighting design and illumination calculations Apply advanced electrical engineering principles under minimal supervision Maintain strong awareness of project budgets and schedules Lead & Design Responsibilities Function as a lead technician, technical design specialist, and/or supervisor Apply advanced expertise to solve complex design challenges Ensure technical quality, schedule adherence, and budget compliance Establish, communicate, and enforce design and graphic standards Review project requirements, design inputs, and deliverables for consistency and compliance Coordinate and integrate design efforts across disciplines Guide and mentor engineering technicians and support staff as applicable Qualifications Associate Degree in Drafting or Engineering Design-related technology (required) Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Design-related technology (preferred) Typically 10+ years of relevant industry experience Power generation design experience required Ability to complete standard pre-employment onboarding requirements Culture & Team Environment The team values collaboration, technical excellence, and shared accountability. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $80.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
