Your impact Responsible for the design and coordination of electrical systems in mission-critical facilities. They develop layouts and schematics for power distribution, UPS, generators, switchgear, and grounding systems, ensuring compliance with codes and standards. The role involves guiding junior designers, collaborating with architects and engineers, and supporting construction teams with technical clarifications. With strong expertise in data center infrastructure and proficiency in design tools like AutoCAD or Revit, they deliver reliable, efficient, and scalable electrical solutions that meet client and industry requirements. Candidate should possess the following competencies as a minimum: Design activities for electricals of a project. Coordination with disciplines like Civil-Structural-Architect / Instrumentation / Piping / Mechanical / HVAC/Projects. Participate in Client meetings as required. Adherence to Department Work Instruction and QMS Manual. Mentors, trains other Designers / Modelers Checker activities including: Checking activities of Electrical deliverables including IDR (Independent Design Review) of layouts for multiple projects. Equipment Layout meeting NBC/ CEIG/ Electricity Rules. Inter-discipline coordination; MEP in Buildings Squad check (Interdisciplinary Checks) and commenting on other Discipline documents. Provide Civil information for Electrical facilities in buildings as well as plant area Electrical Equipment vendor drawing review and use the information for Civil foundation, support, floor/wall cutouts. Shall check Electrical deliverable drawings prior to submission to the Lead for approval. Including Substation layout, Power & Cable tray routing, Earthing, Lightning protection, Lighting Layouts. Design drawings optimization in challenging requirements. Ensures safety in design in all deliverables. Timely execution of the design within his/her responsibility. 3D Model Review; Comments resolution and Tags closure. BOQ extraction from 3D model. BOQ review for value addition and to have minimum quantity variations during site erection. Preparedness for Technical and Compliance Audits. Proactively identify design inputs or resources constraints. Effective use of past lessons learned to improve quality & delivery Provide Value addition / Cost optimization ideas. Here's what you'll need 15+ years of total experience in handling Electrical Design/construction layout and 3D model interface activities. Diploma or ITI At least 3 years in Electrical Checker/Reviewer role in industrial/petrochemical projects. Knowledge of xrf drawing system. Proficiency in reviewing 3D model using Navisworks is mandatory. AutoCAD, Navisworks, competent user of MS Office and Adobe Acrobat. At Jacobs we value people.
