40.0 Responsibilities Support engineering teams by performing technical tasks related to electrical substation projects under general supervision. Create, modify, and maintain technical documentation, drawings, and project deliverables using digital design tools such as CAD, BIM, and 3D modeling software. Utilize Autodesk AutoCad (and Microstation if applicable) to produce schematics, wiring diagrams, and site layouts specific to electrical projects. Assist in the development of deliverables based on design inputs and conduct basic computations like material quantity estimates and dimensional checks. Collaborate with other project groups to ensure deliverables are accurate, compliant, and minimize errors or interference. Support continuous learning and stay current on engineering standards, systems, and departmental policies related to electrical substation drafting. Proactively apply knowledge of quality standards to ensure high-quality work outputs. Requirements 2-3 years of drafting experience in electrical projects, preferably related to substations. Experience with Autodesk AutoCad; Microstation experience is a plus. Strong understanding of electrical schematics, wiring, and site layouts for substations. Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce accurate technical drawings. Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with engineering teams and other stakeholders. Must be able to commute to the Chattanooga office located at 1232 Premier Drive, Suite 320, Chattanooga, TN 37421. No relocation or per diem provided.
