Required Qualifications:
Valid U.S. work authorization/visa Advanced English proficiency Minimum 3 years of proven PLC programming experience Prior verifiable experience working at Tesla (mandatory) Duties Troubleshoot and repair PLC systems, industrial controls, and robotic automation equipment to minimize downtime and maximize productivity. Configure human-machine interface (HMI) systems for operator interaction with automated processes, ensuring intuitive operation and real-time data monitoring. Integrate industrial networks and distributed control systems (DCS) to facilitate seamless communication between machinery, sensors, and control devices. Collaborate with mechanical engineers and robotics specialists to program industrial robotic systems such as Fanuc robots or vision inspection systems for quality assurance. Support lean manufacturing initiatives by optimizing control processes, reducing waste, and enhancing operational efficiency through automation improvements. Assist in the installation of PLC hardware components, including sensors, actuators, drives, and industrial electrical systems. Conduct regular system testing and validation to ensure compliance with safety standards such as CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices). Document all programming activities, system configurations, troubleshooting procedures, and maintenance records thoroughly. Experience Proven experience in PLC programming within an industrial or manufacturing environment with a focus on automation controls. Strong knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), including configuration, and troubleshooting. Familiarity with industrial robotic systems such as Fanuc or similar brands; robot programming experience is highly desirable. Expertise in configuring human-machine interface (HMI) systems for operator control panels. Understanding of industrial electrical systems—including schematics reading—and mechanical knowledge related to tooling and machining processes. Experience working with industrial networks like Ethernet/IP or Profibus for system communication. Knowledge of vision inspection systems and automation tools used in quality assurance processes. Strong troubleshooting skills in complex industrial equipment; ability to diagnose issues quickly using engineering principles.
