The I&E Designer position is a key role within the company and serves as an opportunity for continued growth and development within ReadyFlo. Scope The I&E Designer supports the development of electrical and instrumentation designs for modularized process packages used in the oil, gas, and alternative energy industries. This position assists with creating and revising electrical and instrumentation drawings, including wiring diagrams, loop diagrams, panel layouts, and basic electrical schematics. Working under the guidance of senior team members, this position helps ensure designs are accurate, compliant with applicable standards, and aligned with project requirements. Exposure to custody transfer oil and gas measurement systems is a plus. This role supports overall project success by contributing to technical design quality, project execution, and continuous improvement. key
Responsibilities:
Design Support Assist in developing electrical and instrumentation drawings, including but not limited to: Wiring diagrams Loop diagrams Panel layouts Basic electrical schematics Interpret P&IDs and translate them into design documents. Support the selection and sizing of instrumentation and electrical components. Revise drawings based on engineering comments and project requirements. Ensure drawings comply with company standards and applicable codes. Maintain drawing revisions and project documentation. Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and operations teams. Assist with maintaining project files and documentation. Verify material specifications for project requirements. Communicate with vendors and internal departments to obtain technical information. Assist as needed to support project goals and departmental priorities.
qualifications:
2-5 years of electrical/instrumentation design experience Proficiency in AutoCAD required. Strong understanding of industrial electrical systems and instrumentation. Experience with modular/skid systems, fabrication, or oil & gas environments preferred. Proficient in reading and interpreting P&IDs, electrical drawings, and specifications. Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and MS Office Suite. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. High attention to detail and accuracy. Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
