Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled BIM Technician to support our HVAC and Plumbing construction projects. This role is responsible for developing, coordinating, and maintaining Building Information Models (BIM) to ensure accurate design, clash detection, and efficient project execution. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and field teams to deliver high-quality, constructible models. Key Responsibilities Create and maintain 3D BIM models for HVAC and plumbing systems using industry-standard software (e.g., Revit, Navisworks, Evolve). Interpret mechanical and plumbing drawings, specifications, and submittals to develop accurate models. Perform clash detection and coordination with other trades (structural, electrical, architectural). Produce detailed shop drawings, spool drawings, and as-built documentation. Assist in project coordination meetings and communicate model updates to stakeholders. Ensure models comply with project standards, codes, and company BIM protocols. Update models based on field changes and RFIs (Requests for Information). Support prefabrication efforts by providing accurate layout and dimensioning. Maintain organized file structures and version control of BIM data. Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology, Construction Management, Drafting, or related field (or equivalent experience). 2+ years of BIM experience in HVAC, plumbing, or MEP construction. Proficiency in Autodesk Revit and Navisworks required. Strong understanding of HVAC and plumbing systems and construction processes. Ability to read and interpret construction documents and blueprints. Familiarity with BIM coordination workflows and clash detection processes. Preferred Skills Experience with Auto
