Job Description

Express Employment Professionals is seeking a skilled Automation Maintenance Technician (Grave shift) to support, maintain, repair, and install automated systems throughout a manufacturing facility. This role combines hands-on equipment maintenance with PLC troubleshooting and programming to ensure efficient, safe, and high-quality production operations. Possible schedule and salary : 7:00 pm
  • 7:00 am (Permanent Schedule) Will train on day shift for at least 3 months, 7:00 am
  • 3:30 pm Starting wage $33.35

Grave Differential:
+$1.44 (After training). Essential Duties & Responsibilities Maintain, repair, and install automation and packaging systems across the plant Diagnose and troubleshoot PLC programming and automation issues Perform assembly, disassembly, preventive maintenance, and repairs on print and packaging equipment Verify quality control standards including product weights, coding, and packaging accuracy Ensure all work complies with GMP, safety, and quality assurance standards Maintain accurate documentation and maintenance records Respond promptly to equipment issues to minimize production downtime Communicate effectively with the maintenance team and management to support optimal plant efficiency Learn and operate various machines and systems while maintaining a clean and safe work environment Participate in ongoing training related to new equipment and automation projects Maintain punctuality and reliable attendance Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Working knowledge of machine operations and troubleshooting Demonstrated understanding of PLC operation and programming Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, continuously changing manufacturing environment Effective communication skills to support safety, quality, and efficiency Ability to read and follow SOPs and company guidelines Capable of prioritizing tasks and operating multiple machines simultaneously Understanding of upstream and downstream manufacturing processes
Qualifications & Requirements:
1+ year of PLC operation, programming, or troubleshooting experience Food manufacturing maintenance experience (3 years) Experience with Allen Bradley Software Must be able to pass a background check and drug test Must be able to provide 3 professional references Able to pass a physical and hearing test Able to pass a written aptitude test Why Join Us?
