Job Code:
1102) Employer Federal Soft Systems, Inc. Duties Responsible for leading systems engineering and controls integration activities for internal combustion engine programs across the product development lifecycle; define and coordinate system requirements and functional interfaces between hardware, software, and calibration components; support development and refinement of embedded control strategies to meet performance, emissions, reliability, and safety targets; coordinate validation activities including simulation, bench testing, and engine level testing; perform analysis of test data to identify performance gaps and drive design or calibration improvements; support integration of diagnostics and protection features within the engine control architecture; collaborate with cross functional engineering teams to resolve integration issues and support product development milestones; utilize and apply knowledge of MATLAB/Simulink, Hardware in the Loop (HIL) Testing, Design Verification Plan and Report (DVP&R), PTC RV&S, Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (iDFMEA), Model Based Development, Engine Control Systems, Root Cause Analysis, Control Systems design simulation/analysis, Calterm, and Requirements analysis and traceability to complete assigned tasks; apply structured problem-solving methodologies to investigate system level issues; contribute to design reviews and risk mitigation activities; ensure adherence to internal engineering processes and documentation standards; and provide technical guidance and support technical reviews.
Location:
Bentonville, AR and multiple undetermined worksites throughout the U.S.;
Salary:
$88,000 per year.
Minimum Qualifications Education:
Masters - Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or in a related field of study (will accept equivalent foreign degree);
Training:
None;
Experience:
Two (2) years in the position above, as a Systems Component Engineer, as a Systems Engineer, as an Electronic Systems Product Engineer, or in a related occupation;
Other Requirements:
Experience must include two (2) years use of all the following: MATLAB/Simulink, Hardware in the Loop (HIL) Testing, Design Verification Plan and Report (DVP&R), PTC RV&S, Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (iDFMEA), Model Based Development, Engine Control Systems, Root Cause Analysis, Control Systems design simulation/analysis, Calterm, and Requirements analysis and traceability.
