Job Summary:
- The Field Systems Integration Engineer plays a critical, hands‑on role deploying, testing, and supporting software systems in both lab and real‑world field environments.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- + Test and validate software in both lab and field deployments to ensure it meets user and mission requirements + Design, execute, and maintain test plans; document and report defects from real‑world operating environments + Collaborate closely with developers to diagnose issues observed during installations, demonstrations, and field testing and improve product quality + Set up, configure, and integrate hardware/software systems for internal testing and on‑site testing, customer installations, and demos + Provide technical support to customers and partners both remotely and on‑site + Troubleshoot software, system, network, and deployment issues at customer locations and test events + Travel regularly for installations, demonstrations, and operational test events + Develop deep product knowledge and act as a customer‑facing technical resource in field environments + Work independently in the field while contributing effectively to a collaborative engineering team •
Job Qualifications:
- + Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, and hands‑on field experience + 5+ years of experience in software integration, testing, deployment, or system-level validation + Strong understanding of computer systems and networking fundamentals + Experience working in software development and test environments + Experience supporting or deploying systems at customer sites or operational environments + Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and customer‑facing communication skills + Able and willing to travel up to 30% for field deployments and installations (primarily domestic, some international) + Able and willing to work M-F 6:30AM - 3:30PM + Experience with control systems (SCADA, surveillance, access control) preferred + Familiarity with security or sensing hardware (cameras, radars, analytics platforms) preferred •_About Teledyne FLIR Defense_•_Join Teledyne FLIR Defense, where we're dedicated to supporting critical missions with an exciting range of cutting-edge technologies.
