The Director of Operations Leadership Role As an experienced Regional Director of Operations, you are the leader of the restaurants within your geographic market area. This is a key leadership role reporting to the COO within JRI with operational and financial responsibility for your restaurants. We are looking for creative, motivated, professional individuals with a heart for hospitality who have the ability to build and grow teams across multiple restaurant locations. The Director of Operations will select, manage, and build a team of General Manager's (GMs) that bring to life our company Culture daily and lead the personnel planning and succession process in partnership with HR. Successful DOP's understand and promote a positive culture, stay abreast of people and competitive issues/events and use industry knowledge to benefit the organization. This individual has the ability to understand financial reports and develop plans to capitalize on opportunities and/or address operational concerns based on the insight to influence business results. The position plays an important strategic role in the success of our growing Brand(s). Successful candidates can drive and implement operations/business strategies within their specified region, designed to achieve objectives focused on KPIs (driving sales, guest count, profitability, hospitality, safety and cleanliness, food, and labor costs, etc.). Position Requirements:
Extensive Restaurant and/or Hospitality industry experience ( 5-years minimum ). Extensive travel is required; primarily within the assigned geographic region, but occasionally to other markets to support new restaurant openings (NROs) and other company activities. Experience managing and coaching for excellence in food quality, speed of service and hospitality. Attention to detail is a must and candidates should have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Other key position requirements:
Experience with: Manager training & development Opening new restaurants Community relations and grass roots marketing Prior restaurant and/or hospitality management experience A hospitality focus and strong communications skills Ability to build a team, then mentor the team to ensure their success Ability to work a variety of hours to include days, nights, and weekends Experience in the following areas: financial statements, inventory, staff scheduling, and guest relations.
