Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and disciplined Debug Technician to join our Legacy Engineering team. In this role, you will support our advanced diagnostic capabilities by executing structured troubleshooting and testing activities on legacy embedded computing products. Working under the technical direction of the Staff Engineer for Advanced Debug and Guided Fault Isolation, you will perform measurements, run controlled experiments, and document findings to support production test, repair, and sustaining engineering.

Key Responsibilities Guided Diagnostic Execution:

Execute approved Guided Fault Isolation (GFI) plans, checklists, and measurement sequences on board-, module-, and system-level hardware using schematics and technical direction.

Measurement & Evidence Capture:

Utilize laboratory equipment—including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, digital multimeters, power supplies, and protocol tools—to collect accurate diagnostic data and maintain rigorous documentation.

Collaboration & Protocol:

Communicate significant findings, completed checklists, and blocked work promptly, maintaining configuration discipline and adhering strictly to approved diagnostic plans.

Secondary Support:

When advanced debug demand shifts, support Ball Grid Array (BGA) rework evaluations, board-level mechanical assembly, and the maintenance of test equipment and troubleshooting fixtures. Required Qualifications Associate degree in Electronics Technology, formal military electronics training, technical certification, or equivalent hands-on experience. 3+ years of practical experience testing, troubleshooting, or repairing electronic assemblies. Working knowledge of digital, analog, power, processor, memory, programmable-logic, and communications circuitry. Demonstrated ability to read and interpret schematics, component data sheets, wiring diagrams, and technical work instructions. Proficiency with standard electronic laboratory equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, logic analyzers). Strong communication skills and a disciplined approach to following structured engineering procedures.
