Full Time Job Description:

Apply electrical and electronic theory and related knowledge, usually under the direction of engineering staff, to design, build, repair, adjust, and modify electrical components, circuitry, controls, and machinery for subsequent evaluation and use by engineering staff in making engineering design decisions. Candidate will work in an energetic research laboratory and must have the ability to follow all safety regulations outlined by the DON. Candidate will be responsible for following detailed instructions provided by engineers and scientists in order to execute assigned tasks. Incumbent will be required to mix, cast, transport, and test energetic materials. Candidate will be responsible for obtaining team member certifications for various branch standard operating procedures in order to execute assigned tasks. Candidate will be responsible for doing minor troubleshooting and repairs on small mechanical components. Candidate will be required to have an explosive haulers license for moving ordnance on station. Mixing of materials including propellant and explosive formulations. Moving/transporting of energetic materials. General laboratory and mix bay clean-up and maintenance. Preparing test specimens, operating and calibrating specialized equipment, and evaluating data for energetic material and propulsion projects.

Education and Work Experience Requirements:

Due to customer requirements, U.S Citizenship is required. Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoW Security Clearance for duration of employment. Up to 3 years experience and a BA/BS degree OR 6 years experience in the specific functional area to be performed may be substituted for a Bachelors Degree. A junior labor category is responsible for assisting more senior positions and/or performing functional duties under the oversight of more senior positions.

Salary:

the expected pay range for this position is $72,800 to $85,280 but is subject to change.
