Job Description - Audiovisual Project Manager/Field Engineer About Young Electric and Communications Young Electric and Communications was established in 1977 and is a highly respected IBEW electrical and communications contractor located in San Francisco, Ca. In 2020 Young established a dedicated design/build audiovisual division focused on delivering white glove turn-key AV solutions and service for our customers.
Job Description For immediate hire:
AV field engineer with a minimum of 5+ years verifiable experience. The AV team requires team members to function in multiple roles including some project management, and service. Our team includes AV veterans who know how to show up and Get Stuff Done and we are looking for a like-minded individual to join the team. Work schedule will be primarily M-F 7am to 4:00pm based in our San Francisco office and on customer sites. Reports to AV Manager provides overall direction. Sr PM provides day to day direction. Compensation $110k-$120k per year, car allowance, gas card, employee medical, dental, vision, paid holidays, paid vacation. Responsibilities Responsibilities include but are not limited to: > Pre and on site commissioning of AV components and systems and user training upon completion. > Attend kickoff meetings to ensure team understands scope, schedule, dependencies, and risks. > Assisting with procurement, tracking, staging, prepping installers, change orders, and other PM efforts. > Delivering close out documentation including as-built drawings, manuals, guides, configuration files, etc. > Working with team to improve processes, procedures, technician skills and capabilities. Experience Candidates should be experienced with: > System control, AVoIP, USB, DANTE, NDI, AES67, SDI, HDBaseT and other modern signal types > Analog audio, sound masking, paging, intercom, and public address. > Unified Communications platforms including Zoom, Teams, Meet, WebEx, and others. > DSP, matrix switching, USB host switching, and AV networking. > Configuration software, testing and troubleshooting tools, RTA and SPL meters. Qualifications Ideal candidates will have certifications, or demonstrate familiarity with > CAD viewers, Visio, D-Tools, Microsoft Office 365 and ability to learn new systems. > QSC, Shure, Biamp, Crestron, Extron, Planar, Vaddio, DANTE/AVB, AVoIP, Zoom, MS Teams.
