We are seeking an experienced Guidance and Control (GNC) Engineer who will join a highly skilled team of systems engineering technologists and algorithm developers supporting various contracts and IRADs within Missiles and Fire Control. What You Will Be Doing GNC Engineer tasks include:- Design, develop, and deploy embedded algorithms that perform inertial tracking, inertial navigation and/or sensor fusion
- Develop, verify, and validate both complex models and simulations that utilize match filters, convolutional neural networks, and other such techniques to detect targets of interest.
- Evaluate system performance in complex scenarios and environments and verify system and subsystem level requirements
- Perform critical studies, analyses, and test activities that support ground and flight test efforts including Hardware-In-The-Loop (HWIL) activities
- Opportunities will exist to join small teams of engineers and algorithm developers on a variety of different programs that are in various stages of product development.

- BS in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, physics, computer science, applied mathematics, or similar STEM degree and 3+ years of relevant experience.
- Secret Clearance is need to start, therefore you must be a US Citizen.
- Experience leading technical multi-disciplinary teams and having been involved in briefing and interfacing with customers
- Candidate should be proficient in MATLAB, python, and C++
- Strong background in software and RF tracking
- Experience with different simulation and test environments (6-DOF IFS, HWIL, flight test experience, etc.)
- Experience leading technical multi-disciplinary teams and having been involved in briefing and interfacing with customers
- Solid foundation in linear algebra, dynamics, coordinate frame transformations, and state estimation techniques
Desired Skills:
- Candidate should have relevant experience or exposure to Navigation Algorithm Development and areas may include: (Inertial navigation, strapdown navigation, attitude and velocity keeping, advanced GPS signal processing techniques, magnetic nav, star-tracking, visual navigation, covariance analysis, transfer alignment with a host platform, boresight/calibration modeling and estimation, inertial sensor selection and performance modelling)•Experience deploying algorithms that satisfy real-time performance requirements•Experience with RF sensors•Ability to be

The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.Work Schedules:
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed.
