An organized, detailed individual to help design systems and produce technical documents in support of the sales and production teams for a well-established technology integration firm. As a System Design Engineer at our company, you will work with the Design andEngineering department to support the sales, project, and service teams. Typical duties and responsibilities would include the following: Utilizing input from the sales team and feedback from clients and design professionals, create and revise system designs and client proposals. Be knowledgeable and help maintain system design standards utilizing company and industry best practices. As needed, create documentation in support of projects, including floorplans, submittals, elevations and more. Develop technical knowledge across multiple technology systems, including but not limited to data networks, lighting control, motorized shades, control systems, audio, video and low voltage wiring. Work at all phases of projects on a cross-functional team including, sales, design, project management, programming, and installation. What should you bring to the table? Must have 2 years design experience in a related industry or experience working in technology integration, and/or an engineering degree in a pertinent field Must have the ability to sit and work at a computer station for extended periods of time Must be self-directed, positive and professional Must be a problem solver and an effective communicator Exceptional attention to detail and technical capabilities Previous experience with Crestron, Control4 and Lutron preferred Previous software experience with D-Tools, Bluebeam, Visio and AutoCAD preferred. Manufacturer specific training and certifications is a plus Willingness to pursue continuing education on systems including data networks, audio, video, lighting, motorized shades, and home automation Ability to read and understand architectural plans and schedules A high level of emotional intelligence Solid written and verbal communication skills A willingness to complete a background check

$70,000
