Technology, Software, IT, Electronics Description Description SAIC is seeking a Senior Electronic Technician to support the Expeditionary Electronic Warfare Division at NSWC Crane. This position supports electronic systems, integration and testing for Naval Strategic Systems Programs (SSP). Naval Strategic Systems Programs (SSP) at NSWC Crane provide full-spectrum lifecycle engineering, testing, and production of high-reliability hardware for sea-based strategic missions. As part of NSWC Crane's Strategic Missions Center, it ensures the safety, security, and functionality of strategic weapons. You will be working onsite in a fast paced and dynamic environment where teamwork and collaboration are essential. SECRET toCLEARANCE
Requirement:
Interim Secret to start. Continued employment contingent upon favorable final Secret clearance.Responsibilities:
Install, configure, and maintain electronic systems, subsystems, and test equipment in support of EEW programs Perform advanced troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repair of electronic hardware, wiring, and associated components Support system integration, test events, and demonstrations, including Developmental Test (DT) and field evaluations Execute test procedures and data collection activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with program requirements Interpret and work from technical schematics and engineering documentation Assist engineers in system setup, calibration, and validation activities Identify and resolve technical issues and failures in operational environments Ensure compliance with safe protocols, configuration management, and standards Maintain and track test equipment, tools, and inventory Prepare and contribute to technical reports, logs, and documentationQualifications Skills and Experience:
8+ years of experience supporting electronic systems, integration, and testing Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals Experience with test equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators) Experience supporting field and operations and shipboard/aviation systems Ability to work independently and troubleshoot complex issues Experience supporting DoD or federal government programs, particularly EEW, RF, or mission systems Familiarity with test and evaluation processes (DT/OT) Experience with RF systems, communications equipment, or sensor systems Experience working in operational or deployed environmentsEducation:
Associate's degree or technical certification in Electronics, Electrical Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)Similar remote jobs
