Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and skilled CNC Machine Tool Repair Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a variety of CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines used in precision manufacturing processes. Your expertise will ensure optimal machine performance, minimize downtime, and uphold the highest standards of quality and safety. Duties Diagnose and repair CNC machinery, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components. Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure machines operate at peak efficiency. Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals related to CNC systems. Calibrate sensors, vision inspection systems, and other precision measuring instruments to maintain accuracy. Troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs), distributed control systems (DCS), and other automation components. Use calibration tools to verify system performance. Collaborate with manufacturing teams to resolve machine issues quickly and efficiently, minimizing production disruptions. Utilize software for troubleshooting or modifying machine layouts and schematics. Conduct field service repairs on-site at customer facilities when needed, ensuring high-quality service delivery. Maintain detailed records of repairs, maintenance activities, and parts used for compliance and future reference. Skills Strong electrical experience with knowledge of low voltage and high voltage systems. Proficiency in hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems related to CNC machinery. Industrial electrician experience combined with a solid understanding of E & I (Electrical & Instrumentation) systems. Knowledge of industrial maintenance practices including calibration, sensors, vision inspection systems, and precision measuring instruments. Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), distributed control systems (DCS), and automation software such as Calypso. Ability to read schematics accurately and interpret technical drawings using AutoCAD or similar tools. Familiarity with manufacturing environments, including safety protocols for high voltage and low voltage systems. Excellent customer service skills when engaging in field service activities at client sites. Background in military or industrial maintenance is a plus for disciplined troubleshooting approaches.
