Job Summary:
Commissioning & Maintenance Specialist Position Summary
Location:
Olympia, WA, Salem, OR, and Columbus, OH This position is responsible for commissioning, preventative maintenance troubleshooting, and repair of Plug power products including hydrogen storage infrastructure, electrolyzers, and stationary equipment at various customer sites. As such, this is a heavy travel position (up to 100%). This role requires excellent mechanical aptitude and a high degree of familiarity with industrial hydrogen systems and performance. This position also requires the ability to be on-call and to respond to urgent needs so that customer sites maintain hydrogen production around the clock. The ideal candidate should have the ability to communicate effectively among cross-functional departments with an emphasis on helping to improve electrolyzers system designs and resolve defects based upon field experience and data. This position is also critical to interface with customer stakeholders and exceed their expectations for service thereby furthering Plug Power's reputation as the leader in hydrogen fuel cell power solutions. Core Duties and Responsibilities Travel as needed to customer sites to perform inspection, troubleshooting, repair, testing and commissioning of Plug power products including hydrogen storage infrastructure, electrolyzers, and stationary. Execute and lead high level service repair projects on existing hydrogen infrastructure, including specialized service procedures including liquid tank repairs and vacuum jacket line repairs, etc. Provide training to first responders, customers, and other Plug service personnel on troubleshooting, maintenance, and service of Hydrogen infrastructure. Support the commissioning and ongoing maintenance and operation of industrial hydrogen infrastructure including but not limited to: Interpreting electrical wiring schematics Conducting Point to Point functionality testing Pressure testing of piping systems per ASME standards Testing and troubleshooting program issues with engineering assistance. Inspecting of process piping systems (pressure ratings, fittings, etc.) Provide documented results from system testing and commissioning at the completion of each project. Create, track, and close out project task lists. Knowledge of environmental impact on equipment function and performance Ability to safely operate and control combustibles.
