Somerville Music Spaces Audio/Visual Engineer Description:
Seeking audio/visual engineer to join Somerville Music Spaces team.
Job-Description:
Work with a variety of clients to engineer and produce high quality audio and/or video recordings primarily in classical and jazz genres Collaborate with artists to achieve the best possible sound and ensure all sessions are conducted professionally, on-time, and to client satisfaction Operate studio hardware and software with efficiency and creativity Maintain clean andanized studio space before/after sessions

Starting Pay:
$35 per hour based on experience plus personal use of the control room or other studios up to 6 hrs per month
Qualifications:
Qualifications:
At least 2 years experience recording, mixing and mastering primarily classical and jazz genres. Please include a portfolio of recent work in your application. A thorough understanding of classical recording/mixing/editing techniques and streaming protocols, including appropriate mic placement and room acoustics for variety of instruments Experience in other genres and podcast recording a plus Experience with Logic Pro, iZotopeRX, Davinci Resolve or Final Cut Pro Experience using OBS for video recording and streaming Excellent interpersonal andmunication skills Reliability, professionalism, and punctuality Strong system troubleshooting skills and attention to detail Ability to lift, move, and set-up gear Willingness to work nights and weekends
