Job Summary To support our Global Software team, we are currently looking for a Software Principal Engineer- Power Electronics located in Farmington Hills, Michigan, reporting onto the VP, Power Electronics. The Software Principal Engineer- Power Electronics primary responsibilities include the design, development, debugging and testing of embedded software including drivers, BSP, HAL and POST. What a typical day looks like: Planning and executing reference code and collateral Designing, developing and debugging Participating in key silicon product development and technical teams Participating in first silicon and new platform power-on event Providing post power-on support Providing support to middleware software development teams for product integration. Engaging various internal cross-team validation organizations May create and maintain product embedded feature documentation. The experience we're looking to add to our team: Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer science with an electronics focus, or a related field; equivalent experience and training will also be considered 8+ years of software engineering experience Previous power electronics/ embedded design experience Product architect and/or Software Design Team Lead. Often customers are facing.
