Project Engineer II - ElectronicsDEPARTMENT

EI Microcircuits is a turn-key Electronic Contract Manufacturer serving OEM customers in the Medical, Industrial Controls, Military, Agricultural, Transportation, Aerospace, and Consumer markets. EI Microcircuits is recognized in our industry for "best-in-class" quality and customer service. As Project Engineer, you will perform the technical transition of a customer's project to EI Manufacturing. This involves assessing the project requirements, developing/managing an engineering project plan, providing a DFM (design for manufacturing) review, resolution of all concerns, and finally implementation of the project. The project plan involves determination and verification of all documentation necessary to support the production of the project. Thereafter, you would provide continued engineering support for that product. This involves interpretation and implementation of customer requested updates as well as improvements requested by our Operations Teams. You will provide technical product support and guidance to our Customers and Internal Departments on the released product. These improvements will target design, processes, and procedures that will enhance the quality and repeatability of the assembly process and increase productivity.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assess and manage all design related requirements required to transition a customer's product into EI manufacturing Provide DFM analysis of assigned projects and collaborate with customers to achieve best resolution Provide design support to customers as related to printed circuit board design and assembly Provide continued engineering support for existing products built at EI Microcircuits Evaluate, write & implement engineering change orders (ECO) for existing products Creation and changes to BOM's (Bill of Materials) Define, verify, and release component & assembly drawings based on customer and EI requirements Develop and document Product Procedures such as test or packaging/shipment requirements Work independently on both new and existing projects Engineering documentation to support production of electronic products Embrace and demonstrate our five core values: customer focused, family-oriented, ethical, driven and innovative All other duties as assigned by your supervisor/managerQUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
Team player who thrives in collaborative environments and revels in team and personal success Strong knowledge of printed circuit board design, electronic/mechanical components, and assembly practices Ability to read and interpret engineering documents such as drawings, specifications, procedures Experience with CAD software - PCB layout or Gerber Viewer programs and/or SolidWorks is preferred Excellent technical, communication, and interpersonal skills Ability to multitask and prioritize workload Strong problem solving and decision-making skills Self-starter with ability to work with a team or independently as needed Ability to interface with a customer's team respectfully and effectively Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Must be able to efficiently read, write, comprehend, and communicate the English language Must pass a pre-employment drug screening test and criminal background check Must follow all company policies outlined in the EI Microcircuits Employee Handbook of Personnel Policies Complete all orientation and training needs as written in policy EDUCATION and/orEXPERIENCE
