This individual will play a critical role in ensuring products meet performance, reliability, and quality expectations through structured validation planning, cross-functional collaboration, and data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with a proactive mindset and the ability to influence teams through the resolution of complex validation challenges. This role is fully on-site in Dayton, Ohio.
Electronics Engineer Responsibilities:
Lead the development, execution, and maintenance of Design Verification Plan and Report (DVP&R) activities throughout the product lifecycle. Translate product requirements, risk assessments, and failure analyses into comprehensive validation strategies and measurable acceptance criteria. Coordinate validation efforts across laboratory, simulation, environmental, hardware-in-the-loop, and field testing environments to ensure complete test coverage. Drive cross-functional collaboration among engineering, testing, and program teams to align validation priorities, schedules, and resource requirements. Review and interpret validation results, ensuring accuracy, traceability, and clear communication of findings and recommendations. Track validation issues and non-conformances through resolution, influencing stakeholders to implement effective corrective actions. Support product readiness and release decisions by providing objective assessments of validation outcomes and associated risks. Identify opportunities to improve validation methodologies, reporting practices, and overall execution efficiency.
Electronics Engineer Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline. Demonstrated experience owning and executing DVP&R activities within an electronic product development environment. Strong understanding of verification, validation, and reliability principles for electronic systems. Experience applying risk-based validation approaches, including the use of tools such as FMEA. Proven ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams, including engineering, laboratory, and program stakeholders. Experience investigating validation failures, managing non-conformances, and driving issues through closure. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to influence technical decisions. Hands-on experience supporting laboratory, environmental, field, or system-level testing activities is highly desirable. Experience working with sensing technologies, inertial systems, durability testing, or equipment operating in demanding environments is preferred.
