Job Description

Dust Solutions, Inc. (DSI) designs and manufactures industrial air quality control systems for clients in mining, power generation, marine & rail terminals, wind & solar, pulp & paper, and other heavy industries. We support customers across the U.S. and globally on challenging pollution-control and health & safety projects. DSI is hiring a Field Service Manager to lead and grow our field service organization.

Full-time Position Summary The Field Service Manager will lead DSI's field service team and be responsible for planning, executing, and optimizing field service operations for installation, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of DSI systems. This role combines technical leadership, customer relationship management, team development, and operational oversight to ensure safe, timely, and high-quality service delivery domestically and internationally. Key Responsibilities Lead, mentor, and manage field service technicians, including hiring, training, performance reviews, scheduling, and career development. Oversee planning and execution of field service activities (installations, commissioning, troubleshooting, repairs, startups) ensuring adherence to project schedules, technical standards, and safety protocols. Develop and maintain service processes, standard operating procedures, checklists, and documentation practices to ensure consistent, high-quality field work and accurate service reporting. Coordinate with Production, Engineering, Sales, and Project Management to align field resources to project needs, spare-parts logistics, and warranty/service contracts. Review technical documentation (blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, manuals) and provide technical guidance for complex troubleshooting and repair activities. Monitor field performance metrics (response times, first-time-fix rate, travel utilization, customer satisfaction) and implement continuous improvement initiatives. Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and customer site requirements; lead incident investigations and corrective actions when required. Act as primary escalation point for technical or customer issues in the field; personally support complex or high-risk service engagements. Build and maintain strong customer relationships; represent DSI on-site with clients, partners, and vendors. Support international service requirements, including passports, travel documentation, and coordination with local resources. Qualifications 5+ years of field service experience in industrial equipment, controls, or similar heavy-industry systems, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role. Strong mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of electrical and electronic systems; hands-on experience with installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting. Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals. Experience developing service procedures, documentation standards, and technician training programs.
Demonstrated leadership skills:
team building, coaching, performance management, and conflict resolution. Excellent customer-facing skills; ability to de-escalate issues and manage client expectations. Strong organizational and project coordination skills; comfortable managing multiple concurrent service projects and travel logistics. Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally (up to 50%). Valid driver's license and ability to pass background check and drug test. Must possess or be able to obtain a U.S. passport for international travel. No visa sponsorship available; preference for local candidates. Preferred Technical certification or degree in electrical, mechanical, or related discipline. Experience with dust collection, air quality, or industrial pollution-control systems. Familiarity with pneumatic tools, PLCs, VFDs, and common diagnostic/testing equipment.
