Roles and Responsibilities:
- Analyze network architectures and topologies for distributed communication applications
- Conduct trade studies for radio and ICS subsystem architectures.
- Interaction with Comms suppliers for integration of Radio and ICS systems into the lab.
- Support development and integration of communications subsystems and components to meet platform mission objectives
- Performing risk analysis and developing mitigation plans and tracking to closure
- Developing and maintaining supplier documentation, performance-based specifications, statements of work and Interface Control Documents.
- Review documents from the supplier's development effort and support supplier technical interchange meetings and design reviews
- Support technical discussions with the customer and have daily interaction with management, external personnel, customers, and various sub teams
- This position can be filled at either a Principal Electronics Engineer level or a Sr. Principal Electronics level, depending upon the qualifications below.
Basic Qualifications:
Principal Electronics Engineer :
Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline and 5- years of related engineering experience; OR a Master's degree in a STEM discipline and
- 3 years of related engineering experience; OR a PhD in a STEM discipline and
- 1• years of related engineering experience•Sr.
Principal:
Bachelor's degree in a (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 8- years of related professional/military experience in Engineering, or Master's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and
- 6 years of related professional/military experience.
- Experience in one or more of the following:
- Demonstrated problem-solving ability and data analysis experience
- Demonstrated ability to assimilate new concepts quickly and independently and work in a self-directed manner
- Must have an active US Government Secret Clearance (with a background investigation within the past 6 years or enrolled into Continuous Evaluation) and any program access required for the position within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company
- Ability to obtain and maintain US Government Top Secret clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in supplier/subcontract management
- Experience with developing supplier documentation, performance-based specifications, and statements of work
- Experience building supplier evaluation criteria and experience in conducting technical evaluations, documenting results and selection
- Ability to review documents from the supplier's development effort and support supplier technical interchange meetings and design review
Primary Level Salary Range:
$94,400.00- $147,600.
Secondary Level Salary Range:
$122,800.00- $184,200.
