Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Controls Engineer to join our innovative engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining complex electrical and control systems that drive our cutting-edge projects. Your expertise will help optimize system performance, troubleshoot technical issues, and ensure seamless integration of control solutions across various platforms. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on advanced automation, embedded systems, and signal processing technologies in a fast-paced environment dedicated to technological excellence. Responsibilities Design and develop control systems using hardware description languages such as SystemVerilog and FPGA programming to meet project specifications. Create detailed schematics and PCB layouts utilizing AutoCAD, Revit, or SolidWorks to support system design and manufacturing processes. Implement and test firmware for microcontrollers like ARM and Arduino, ensuring robust functionality within electrical systems. Conduct root cause analysis of system failures or performance issues, providing effective troubleshooting solutions. Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to develop system design documentation, including schematics, CAD models, and simulation models using MATLAB/Simulink. Perform signal processing tasks and develop algorithms for vision inspection systems or other sensor-based applications. Support project scheduling by managing timelines for PCB fabrication, firmware development, and system integration activities while adhering to manufacturing standards such as NEC. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field; advanced degrees are a plus. Proven experience with electrical systems design, system integration, and debugging in industrial or manufacturing environments. Proficiency in programming languages including C++, Python, Perl, Scripting languages, and firmware development. Hands-on experience with FPGA development, SystemVerilog coding, and SoC (System on Chip) architectures. Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in soldering (surface mount technology), PCB assembly, and mechanical design tools like Revit or MicroStation. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), signal processing techniques, and vision inspection systems. Ability to perform root cause analysis using tools such as ohmmeters and debugging equipment; experience with electrical schematics is essential. Knowledge of CAD software (AutoCAD), electrical standards (NEC), surface mount technology manufacturing processes, and mechanical engineering principles.
