Job Description

Description
  • Write, simulate, and debug HDL code for FPGA design.
  • Write command-line tooling for testing FPGA designs.
  • Use Matlab and Simulink to model electrical power systems.
  • Use both digital hardware and software knowledge to optimize system design.
  • Work with electrical power engineers and controls engineers to develop advanced power control firmware. Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science degree
  • 5+ years of industry experience with embedded systems HDL design, specifically one or many of the following: o Communication protocols such as SPI, I2C, memory bus, ARM AMBA AHB or AXI, CAN, RS485, Ethernet, Ethercat, USB, Fiber Optics o Digital signal processing (DSP) o Switching power converter control o Motor control
  • Experience using Verilog or VHDL
  • Use lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and network analyzers to probe and debug digital hardware
  • Experience using Python to create command-line tooling and scripted tests
  • Git version control Desired Qualifications
  • Matlab and Simulink with HDL coder
  • Experience working with AMD/Xilinx Vivado tool suite and FPGAs
  • Fixed-point mathematics experience
  • Both Verilog and VHDL experience
  • Experience designing
ARM AMBA
AXI and AXI-Stream connected modules
  • Understanding of clock domain management and clock crossing
  • CMake experience
