some of your typical work assignments include: Serves as a regulory policy expert in the resolution of cases set for hearing of exceptionally complex, precedent-setting, or pioneering regulory policy issues associed with the regulion of nural gas and/or oil pipeline companies, hydroelectric projects and/or electric utilities. Detects deviion from current regulory principles and Commission policies and prepares recommendions as to the approprie disposition. Prepares da requests, settlement proposals, and testimony based on the review/analysis of the filing and issues, which contain a discussion of economic and regulory policy issues as well as reled recommendions. Explains Trial Staff's settlement positions during settlement conferences and defends written testimony under cross-examinion during a hearing. Presents analyses to team members and management. Participes on teams and performs the role of Case Team Leader. Trains and mentors less experienced staff by providing technical expertise and guidance regarding exceptionally complex regulory policy issues and in the analysis and review of complex economic, regulory, accounting and stistical da concerning the regulion of nural gas and oil companies, hydroelectric projects and/or electric utilities. ENERGY INDUSTRY ANALYST
LITIGATION, GS-1101, please : Energy Industry Analyst Series, 1101 You must have one full year of specialized experience or equivalent to the GS-13 level.
Specialized experience is defined as:
comprehensive experience and knowledge using investigive research methods and procedures including da acquisition, analysis, documention and presention; experience leading teams; and experience writing and sponsoring testimony. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through Nional Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizions (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills, and can provide valuable training and experience th transles directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including any volunteer experience.
