Full-Time, Contract / Project-Based We are seeking an experienced Energy Marshal to support a large-scale Mission Critical / Data Center construction project in Lithia Springs, GA. This role serves as the on-site authority for hazardous energy control activities and works at the intersection of construction safety, electrical systems, MEP operations, commissioning, and energization. The Energy Marshal will coordinate energy control activities from pre-construction through commissioning and client turnover. 70E, electrical safety, energization, and data center construction. Key ResponsibilitiesLead and coordinate the site Energy Control Plan (ECP) from pre-construction through commissioning and turnover.

Serve as the Authorizing Energy Marshal for the project.

Lead and coordinate Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) activities across trade partners and vendors.

Ensure proper application, documentation, verification, and removal of LOTO devices.

Review and coordinate energization plans, Methods of Procedure (MOPs), and switching orders.

Coordinate system activations with MEP subcontractors, commissioning teams, and owner operations.

Conduct field audits to verify compliance with NFPA 70E and OSHA electrical safety requirements.

Review arc flash hazard assessments and verify appropriate PPE requirements.

Maintain accurate energy-control and safety documentation for client review.

Coordinate site-specific electrical safety orientations and daily pre-task briefings.

Communicate energized-system status and restricted areas to project teams.

Investigate energy-control incidents and near misses and coordinate corrective actions through resolution.

Work closely with contractors and project leadership to maintain accountability for energy-control procedures.

Required Qualifications5+ years of experience in Mission Critical construction, electrical safety oversight, data center commissioning, or a closely related environment.

Current

NFPA 70E

certification.

Current OSHA 30-Hour certification.

Current First Aid / CPR / AED certification.

Working knowledge of

OSHA 29 CFR 1926

Subpart K and NFPA 70E.Ability to read and interpret single-line diagrams, one-line drawings, and arc flash studies.

Strong understanding of LOTO and hazardous energy-control procedures.

Strong communication and leadership skills.

Ability to lead safety meetings and hold trade contractors accountable for compliance.

Ability to work 100% on-site in Lithia Springs, GA for the duration of the project.

Preferred QualificationsNFPA Certified Electrical Safety Compliance Professional (CESCP) certification.

Journeyman or Master Electrician license.

Previous experience serving as an Authorizing Energy Marshal on a hyperscale or colocation data center campus.

Experience with hyperscale or colocation operator energy-control standards.

Previous experience supporting large-scale data center construction, commissioning, or energization.

Additional training, including LOTO, FOD, Electrical Room / Arc Flash Awareness, and site-specific Energy Control Plan orientation, may be provided upon hire.
