Help Builders Create Better Homes Before Construction Begins Energy Diagnostics is seeking a detail-oriented and computer-savvy Preliminary Energy Modeler to join our growing team. In this role, you'll work with builders during the pre-construction phase of residential projects, helping evaluate home plans for energy code compliance and overall energy performance. This is an office-based position that combines technology, problem-solving, and customer interaction. You'll spend much of your day working with software, reviewing plans, entering data, and analyzing results, while also communicating with builders to gather information and answer questions. - We'll provide the tools, training, and mentorship needed for success What You'll Do As a Preliminary Energy Modeler, you'll work closely with builders and internal teams to evaluate residential projects before construction begins.
Review residential construction plans and specifications Create energy models using specialized software Input project information such as insulation levels, HVAC systems, windows, and other building components Analyze results to determine energy code compliance and performance targets Generate reports and recommendations for builders Communicate with builders to gather missing project information and clarify design details Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely project completion Maintain organized project records and documentation Stay current on evolving energy codes and industry requirements What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and eager to learn. The ideal candidate enjoys working with computers, learning new software, solving problems, and contributing to a positive team environment.
