About the role:
Remote:
Occasional travel within the United States to project locations for testing purposes, with an estimated travel frequency of up to 25%. We're looking for a BESS Commissioning Manager on behalf of our client. This is a 1-year contract assignment.(W-2) The primary role is to conduct plant testing, performance testing, ISO/GIA/PPA Testing and startup of a Battery Energy Storage System and Solar Coupled Power systems. You will act as the Owner's representative to oversee aspects of the energy storage system including compliance, status reporting, safety, startup, commissioning, and testing. Employees in this role manage and report on commissioning, and performance testing work performed by contractors and/or vendors at the project site.Reports To:

Occasional travel within the United States to project locations for testing purposes, with an estimated travel frequency of up to 25%. The remaining work is primarily remote, focused on providing support through SCADA monitoring. 1-year contract assignment.(W-2)Key Responsibilities:
- Participates in safety program and audits
- Support PPA Testing with Customer
- Support GIA Testing with TO
- Support ISO testing
- Manage test energy forecast with the customer
- Support
ICCP IT SCADA
Team and SCADA PM/Lead with functional checks- Work with SCADA Integrator and Execution Commissioning Project manager to develop a Commissioning schedule based on Mechanical completion
- Work with SCADA integrator and Commissioning Manger to execute site acceptance testing.
- Support CEWIS Critical Point Checkout with ROCC alarm checks/PGD
- Perform OEM Testing
- Perform Plant Balancing
- Perform Capacity Testing
- Perform notification of AVR/AGC and support
- Review performance data for deficiencies
Qualifications:
- Battery Energy Storage Systems installation and startup
- Must have a thorough understanding of the technical, performance, and integration of Li-Ion batteries as part of ESS
- Commissioning process creation
- Understanding of containerized systems, skids, controllers/SCADA, transformers, combiners
- Thorough understanding of DC systems (0-2,000Vdc) and AC systems (480V-34.5kV)
- Experience with control and SCADA systems and troubleshooting. Physical Requirements
- Must be able to see color to discern color-coded HMI controls
- Prolonged periods of screen time and sitting
- Will operate a motor vehicle for purposes of commuting between 2 working locations.
