Traveling Safety Coordinator (Data Center) Job Description An Energy Marshal plays a crucial role in ensuring the safe and compliant handling of energy systems during construction and commissioning, particularly in complex environments such as data centers. This position requires a deep commitment to safety protocols and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities Oversee and enforce electrical safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures. Ensure compliance with relevant safety standards and regulations like NFPA 70E and OSHA. Review documentation, conduct audits, and provide expert guidance on energy isolation procedures. Coordinate energization and de-energization activities with various stakeholders. Participate in high-risk activity planning meetings related to energy isolation. Maintain and update relevant documentation such as single-line drawings. Essential Skills Experience in construction and electrical work. Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English. Accredited board certified certification for safety such as CHST, CSP, or STSC. Minimum of 2 years of electrical construction experience. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in data center environments is preferred. Work Environment The role is situated in a construction environment, often within data centers. It necessitates adherence to safety protocols and may involve coordination with various stakeholders in high-risk activities. The position requires familiarity with standard construction attire and safety equipment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Moncks Corner, SC. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
