Energy Efficiency Specialist:
•Candidates Bi-lingual in Spanish preferred. Please note if Bi-lingual on submittal form.•Due to drive time and mileage, we'd prefer candidates based in the Sebring area, but we're open to extending the search to Lake Wales. Candidates located north of Lake Wales would not be suitable for this role. Also, even having some sort of HVAC / builder / inspectors license would be beneficial as a potential candidate.

Roles and Responsibilities:
This Energy Efficiency Specialist is responsible for performing on-site energy analysis of residential customers premise and equipment operation, educating customers by presenting findings, and motivating customers to implement cost-effective energy conservation measures to help achieve company FPSC mandated goals. In addition to promoting energy efficiency programs, the EE Specialist is also a full-service technical position responsible for offering other products and services focused on contributing to the company's other corporate goals while enhancing the customer's overall experience. The EE Specialist is responsible for all follow-through on customer's behalf with vendors, suppliers, contractors, and other company departments to resolve concerns or issues. The position works with limited supervision, must be able to balance multiple demands and competing priorities, and be willing to modify work schedule to benefit the customer, company, and department. The EE Specialist uses excellent interpersonal and communication skills to translate technical information into customer-friendly terms to help resolve other customer concerns and technical issues. The position also serves as a company ambassador in promoting company at various community events such as tradeshows and homeowner association presentations in support of creating awareness around energy efficiency. The position is responsible for supporting the company's efforts during storm restoration activities as part of the logistics organization.
Responsibilities:
Collect technical data at customer homes or premise and analyze the operation of their equipment. This will include troubleshooting equipment problems, performing specialized inspections of the duct system, attic insulation, windows, roofing, appliances, and HVAC system. Provide consultation to customers regarding energy usage and operational improvements. Promote appropriate and applicable Energy Efficiency programs that result in cost effective measures which satisfy customer needs, enhance customer experience, and contribute to the corporate energy reduction goals. Meet required level of achievement of program sales compared to home energy checks. Inspect Energy Management systems to ensure system reliability and availability to ensure compliance with company and National Electric Code standards. Provide full service technical support for the Energy Management Program and coordinate all field activities as appropriate acting as technical liaison between customer, contractor, and staff personnel. Resolve customer concerns and technical inquiries. Responsible for all follow-through on customer's behalf with vendors, supplier's contractor, and other company - Florida departments - to improve sales results and to resolve concerns or issues. Investigate, troubleshoot, and negotiate damage claims with customer and /or outside contractor. Follow up with each customer to ensure all expectations were met and there are no outstanding questions. Participate in exhibit marketing, community events, and trade shows, achieving goals for each exhibit. Contribute to success of marketing campaign by using knowledge of geographical areas and program expertise to identify targeted customers. Identify opportunities for other programs and services in the customer's best interest and provide information accordingly. Conduct training seminars for Call Center, Service and Line personnel to ensure all departments have a clear understanding of the Energy Management system, high bills, energy audits, and energy efficiency programs. Establish a strong presence/relationship with local, state and/or national trade ally organizations that support our business goals and objectives. Participate in meetings, forums and training sessions offered by these associations. Support the company's efforts during storm restoration activities and special projects as assigned. Basic/Required Qualifications High School/GED Minimum 3 years related work experience

Bachelor's degree 3 -5 years related work experience Energy Auditor Certification Customer service skills Bi-lingual in Spanish Additional Preferred Qualifications Effective analytical, problem identification, diagnostic and resolution skills Knowledge of company Energy customer information system (CSS) Working knowledge of energy efficiency practices Consultative sales experience Strong written and presentation skills Experience in conflict resolution General knowledge/understanding of utility regulatory environment Working Conditions Working condition to include inside and outside of customer homes, attic and crawl spaces, time associated with drive/travel to customer appointments that could include travel to multiple regions performing home energy check and other duties that support the FPSC mandated goals. Field Mobility Classification - Work will be performed in various field locations, as needed, after the onboarding period. However, field employees are required to live within a reasonable daily commute to their assigned work location. Specific Requirements Must be capable of climbing, bending, lifting a minimum of 25 lbs. and working in confined spaces Must be able to pass clearance to wear a respirator for extended periods of time while in attic spaces, exposed to elevated temperature conditions or within crawl space underneath structures, exposed to particulates Valid Driver's License Will business expenses to be covered? Mileage is expense for driving personal vehicle to appointments If business expenses will be covered, please enter the amount or percentage: $0.565 per mile
