GNC Engineer

Job Description A lead defense contractor sitting in Simi Valley, CA is looking to hire a (Senior) Guidance, Navigation and Control (GNC) Engineer. This person will be supporting next-generation unmanned air vehicles and robotic systems. As a key member of our innovative team, you will help architect flight algorithms, conduct advanced flight testing, and integrate cutting-edge technologies into real-world solutions. He/she will be assisting in multiple R+D projects supporting their business line offering products ranging from (VTOL aircrafts, autonomous flight technology, quadcopter etc.). Most of their products are weapon systems and they're one way attack vehicles and they do some ISR using cameras. This person will be joining a team of 8 other engineers and an intern. This high-impact role leverages your multi-disciplinary expertise. You'll lead and contribute to ambitious projects spanning GN&C (60%), flight testing (20%), and supporting disciplines such as embedded software (20%). You'll guide teams, solve complex technical challenges, and directly influence the development of groundbreaking platforms. This will be a full time role paying between $145

• 194k depending on years of experience.

• Obtained Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering
• 8-10 years of experience of Guidance, Navigation and Control Engineering experience; Previously led a technical team and contributed to team development
• Strong experience in simulation and algorithm development
• Ability to use GitHub or MatLab, repositories, or mission planner Experienced with GPS denied experience, utilizing cameras and vision base navigation Previous Missiles or Weapons Experience
