A Renewable Energy Engineer develops engineering and systems for energy produced from renewable sources such as solar energy, wind energy and hydropower.
Initial 6-Month Contract (FTE Conversion Possible) Job Overview We are seeking an early-career Engineer to support renewable energy engineering operations, new site onboarding, project coordination, engineering analysis, and technical documentation for utility-scale Solar and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work alongside experienced engineering teams while supporting engineering execution and project delivery. Key Responsibilities Own the onboarding process for new renewable energy sites, including technical and administrative activities. Perform engineering studies, technical analysis, and prepare engineering documentation. Support project planning, coordination, reporting, and engineering execution. Assist with utility-scale Solar, BESS, and power generation engineering projects. Coordinate with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure successful project delivery. Support controls systems, alarm management, and engineering process improvements where applicable. Ensure engineering work complies with company standards, project specifications, and safety requirements. Promote a safe and inclusive work environment. Required Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Engineering. 1-5 years of engineering experience. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience preparing technical documentation and engineering reports. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of Renewable Energy technologies. Experience with Solar or Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). Knowledge of Controls Systems and Alarm Management. Understanding of Quality methodologies such as Six Sigma.
