Job Description

Your tasks The internship will focus on 3D simulation of the following topics Mixture preparation process in the engine, resulting in a quantitative assessment of fuel wall film formation and subsequent soot formation. Thermal simulations including 2 phase conjugate heat transfer of components associated with the automotive thermal systems. Heat exchangers and flow path optimization. The intern will contribute by validating CFD models using measurement data from tests, and develop optimized designs for engine sprays, thermal units and heat exchangers to improve performance/efficiency and mitigate existing problems. The intern will also contribute towards identifying and proposing process improvement methods in CFD. Your profile
Minimum Qualifications:
Currently pursuing a Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace engineering or similar discipline with strong interest in engine simulation Existing experience in working with 3D simulation tools such as AVL Fire, Converge etc. Experience with CAD modifications Ability to work independently Minimum GPA of 3.0
Preferred Qualifications:
Doctoral (PhD) student in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace engineering or similar discipline Experience with IC engine testing Experience with 1D simulation tool GT-Power
